Purpose of the Role

  • The role holder is responsible for managing field production activities and process to ensure the achievement of commercial seed hybrid production volume and quality targets.
  • This includes the sourcing and recruiting growers, providing agronomic support to the growers, and managing the relationship with the growers to ensure the delivery of high-quality seed to Bayer.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to work with leading technology and talented cross-functional teams that are driving to deliver the best agriculture products and solutions to farmers.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Deliver effective, compelling sales calls and presentations to pharmacists and doctors in assigned territories.
  • Develop sales strategies for assigned customers and potential customers
  • Establish and build strong client relationships with pharmacy owners, pharmacists, and general practitioners.
  • Monitor shelf uptake, product placement /merchandising, point of sales materials and inventory management of Bayer consumer care brands in pharmacies and selected hospitals in assigned territories
  • Achieve budgeted sales volume for assigned territory
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses. Also shares weekly and monthly advance work plan
  • Communicate minimum stock levels or stock out situations at pharmacies promptly to distributors.
  • Responsible for Sales results in assigned territories
  • Grow business in key retail pharmacies by working closely with them on joint business plans.
  • Develop long term business relationships with customers through regular contact to maximise business.
  • Organize pharmacy meetings and product presentations in assigned territories
  • Routinely provide adequate feedback to management on local competitor activity and market
  • Drive strong demand and advocacy for Bayer CH brands at the Pharmacy and Physician level.
  • Ensure availability and visibility of Bayer brands in all pharmaceutical outlets

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • University Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Microbiology or any health science related discipline.
  • At least 1 year experience in sales (consumer health /pharmaceutical) with proven track record.
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes available resources.
  • Effective communication and relationships building skills.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Action oriented, energetic and results focused.
